Gentzel's Market: William Gentzel's Market, Spring Street & Millburn Avenue, 1897

Several copies of this image exist in the collection. The photograph is dated October 19, 1897. Gentzel's market was the finest store in the area in its heyday. William Gentzel had an smaller store on the north side of Taylor Street, near Main Street. This building was located at the northeast corner of Millburn Avenue and Spring Street and is still standing as of 2024. The photograph was taken by Edwin D. Pannell.
