Gentzel's First Store, c.1890

Gentzel's earliest shop North of Taylor Street, near Main Street. By 1897, Gentzel's had moved to 387 Millburn Avenue. The photograph was later reproduced in the Millburn Short Hills Item. According to the caption: Del Tappen and Horace Park (in the duster & derby) are standing on the steps. John Getzel (sic) is standing by the wagon. Horace was the father of Miss Amelia Park, organist at St. Stephen's Church.
