Nadin: Longpre letter to Mary Nadin, 1898

Object/Artifact
Handwritten 1 page letter and postally used envelope from P. de Longpre, 877 West End Avenue, NY, NY to Mars. Mary Nadin dated March 4, 1898. The letter reads: "My dear Mrs. Nadin Enclose please find a postal order for 37.50 for 3 months rend in advance. Since about 2 weeks we have a little daughter coming very nicely. My wife is now all right but suffered greatly for that child and nearly lost her life. As for me, since 3 months I am sick. I have been in great danger for some time. I am, I think, recovering slowly. This winter will be a very black souvenir in my life. We send you our kindest regards. Yours very sincerely, P. de Longpere, 877 West End Avenue. Have you been well this winter? We hope yes.
