Kahn Collection: Tin Drinking Cup. 19th century

Object/Artifact
Tin metal drinking cup from Williamsburg Room, Millburn Library. Provenance unknown (possibly M/M Harvey Kahn). Condition: Aged, plain, tin drinking cup with single handle. Painted advertisement in bottom of cup is scratched, missing flakes of paint and soiled. Advertisement reads, "Drink Hearty and Buy Your CLOTHING -of- Kent Clothing Co. Clinton, Mass." The cup most likely dates from the mid-19th century, when Clinton, Massachusetts was a center for the textile industry.
