Greystone Cottage, 177 Hobart Avenue, 1880

Greystone Cottage was designed by architect William Halsey Wood of Newark and built in 1880. It is featured in the "Sticks, Shingles & Stones," Lippincott's Magazine, the July 12, 1884 issue of American Architect and Building News. The house was one of the earliest built in Hartshorn's Short Hills Park development. The first owner was William R. Bliss.
