Bates: Views in Short Hills, 1880

Publication
Page from the Periodical "The Arrow," published 1881-1883 featuring a double page print entitled "Views in Short Hills," by architect & engraver William A. Bates. The image incorporates the logo of "The Arrow" with an arrow hitting a bull's eye. The page has been detached from the periodical, so it is unclear which date it would have appeared. The image shows the early development of Stewart Hartshorn's Short Hills Park. In Owen Lampe's slide of this image, names of original owners and/or Hartshorn house numbers are penciled in faintly. It is unclear who labeled the buildings and if they are all correct.
