Campbell: M.T. Campbell Short Hills Postmark Letter, c. 1886

Envelope addressed to Professor J.R. Lounsbury, New Haven, Connecticut, postmarked Short Hills, N.J. October 6. M.T. Campbell is written vertically across the left side of the envelope front. Postmarked received, New Haven, October 6. According to the documentation that came with the item, the target date for this envelope is 1886, which makes it an early example of mail from the Short Hills post office.
