Campbell: Mrs. George Campbell Magazine Advertising Postcard, 1892

Postcard
Postcard addressed to Mrs. George Campbell, Millburn, N.J. from New York, postmarked received Millburn, N.J. February 11, 1892 from The Current Literature Company, 30 West 23rd Street. The postcard contains an announcement about literature and a solicitation to subscribe to Current Literature of Short Stories magazines. The novels mentioned as "making a great stir today" are Thomas Hardy's "Tess of the D'Urbervilles," and the "History of David Grieve," the long expected novel by the author of "Robert Elsmere" (Mrs. Humphrey--Mary Augusta--Ward-).
