April 1, 1929 map labeled: "Township of Millburn; Essex County Board of Elections; April 1, 1929" and "This map of Millburn Township describes the seven election districts in which the Township has been divided. Polling places in this district are as follows: First district, Washington School, Taylor street entrance; second district, Wyoming School, Wyoming avenue at Cypress street; third district, Washington School, Taylor street entrance; fourth district, Short Hills casino, Hobart avenue, near the Railroad station; fifth district, Short Hills Public School, Hobart avenue, near Old Short Hills road; sixth district, Wyoming School, and seventh district, Oakes Valetor Service, Millburn avenue, near Wyoming avenue, opposite South Mountain road." The notes add: "The election hours for the primary which will be held Tuesday, June 18, are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Standard Time. An election notice, describing the legal aspects of the election, will be found on page 8 of this week's issue of The Item." The map has three evenly-spaced vertical fold lines and one vertical fold line approximately 6" from the right edge of the map. There are two horizontal fold lines (one at 4" from the bottom of the map and one at 1.5" from the top of the map). The areas around the fold lines are slightly yellowed. The left side of the map has a 1" yellowed section and a 6" long x 1/2" high yellowed section on the bottom right edge; both of these areas are best seen on the back of the map. The upper left corner of the map is missing. There are small overall smudge/ink marks on the map, especially near the text box. The map was sent by the donor to the then-Township Clerk, Joanne Monarque, who forwarded it to us.
