56 Highland Avenue Garage, 1927

Photograph
View of the garage for 56 Highland Avenue. One of the original Hartshorn Estates, Inc. homes. The house was later purchased by Helen Page Wodell, co-founder of the landscaping firm of Wodell & Cottrell. The house passed to her daughter Lois Poinier, who also became a nationally renowned landscape designer. The photograph is attributed to Morelan, Summit. Note on verso of photograph reads: Garage at 56 Highland Avenue, Short Hills, Spring 1927. Rectory in background. The rectory would be for Christ Church.
