Parsil: Samuel B. Parsil Civil War Letter, October 29, 1862

Letter from Samuel B. Parsil to his parents dated October 29, 1862 from the 27th NJ Infantry at Camp Kerney, Virginia and describes the march from Washington to Virginia, near Arlington Heights. He mentions being able to see the house of the Rebel General Lee from camp. Parsil notes that "John Sprigg talked politics so much that the Cornel (sic) had to forbid talking politics in camp."
