Oral History: Murray, John; (Undated, c. 1970s)

Oral History
Mr. Murray was a Millburn policeman and lifelong resident. Interesting details about Poor Farm at White Oak Ridge Road/Parsonage Hill Road, "bums and tramps" that came through town, and some recollections of Stewart Henry Hartshorn's capacity for liquor. Also comments on how the Hartshorns were very "down to earth." Also mentions of the Denmans and other families, houses, development. NOTE: Interview included Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lyons, Kathleen Wade and former Chief Partington of Fire Department. Interviewer was Alicia Roman; transcript is problematic in that the start of the tape was all static, and interviewees are identified only by gender, not name.
