Millburn Avenue: Empire Store and Millburn Hotel

Postally used B&W photographic postcard of the corner of Millburn Avenue and Main Street. Postmarked Millburn, August 19, 190 (?) 12 M. Addressed to Miss Tilly Wimmer, 136 West Street, Newark, NJ. Writing on front of card reads corner Main street, signed Emma (Wimmer).The building in the right side, with the Ballantine's Beer Sign is the Millburn Hotel. The store located at what is now 344 Millburn Avenue, was run by the McCollum Brothers (William E., William W. and William H. McCollum) and sold groceries and dry goods.
