Hartshorn: Windmill or "The Old Tower," 1907

Postally used, B&W photographic postcard of the windmill constructed for Stewart Hartshorn to pump water for Short Hills, entitled "The Old Tower.". The windmill was located between Great Oak Drive and the railroad at Pine Terrace East. Postmarked Short Hills, July 31, 1907 12 M and addressed to Mrs. Ida Walther, Craig Colony, Sonyea, New York. Message on front of card reads, "Tuesday Night. Hello Mother! We leave for Dansville, Thursday P.M. Hope to see you some way or another soon. Are you going to have any vacation? Write me when you can. Love to you and Geneviere. Ruth."
