Rimback Storage Company Truck Accident, 1940s

Photograph
Ca. 1940's press photo of a Rimback Storage Company truck accident, apparently near Scranton PA. The truck advertises "Long Distance Moving," which may be what it was doing in PA. Hoses are in the foreground of the photo and smoke appears to be coming from the top, so there may have been a fire inside that led to the truck going off the road. The back of the photo is marked: "Montgomery -- Photographers; Commercial - Aerial; Home Portraiture; 216 Coal Exchange Bldg; Scranton 3, PA; Telephone 9476 Reorder No." and handwritten in the Reorder No. line is "A-1210." The top and left side of the photo (as you face the front) has rippling, as it appears to have been exposed to moisture. There is a ca. 1/4" crease under the word "Distance" on the truck. Purchased on eBay from Donald Adamcik of Dover NJ.
