DeBellis D.F. DeBellis Business Sign, Millburn

Object/Artifact
Painted metal sign for "D.F. DeBellis; 376-0003; Millburn, NJ." The 1962 Millburn directory records a carpenter named Domenick F. DeBellis at 50 Willow St in Millburn. There are five holes on the sign: two at the lower left corner, one on the lower right, one near the top left corner and one near the top right. The sign has overall soiling and discoloration, and light scratches overall, but particularly along the bottom edge, where ther are two spost with missing paint and horizontal scratches between them. The D.F. DeBellis is done in black letters, with red outlines and gray shadows. All other text is black and sans serif. The sign has a border of a green stripe and that stripe has considerable wear across the bottm edge.
