Bowling: Millburn Recreational Bowling Academy Matchbook/Match cover

Object/Artifact
Millburn Recreation Bowling Academy operated from 1942-1951. In December 1951, Peter J. Farley rented out the building for another use and transferred the liquor license to the Millburn Inn. Peter J. Farley was a building contractor, who also owned the Morris and Essex Roller Rink in Springfield. Matchbook purchased on eBay from Lynne Ranieri. Cover is cardboard-open and tan in color with brown sketch of building and above in script, "Millburn Recreational Bowling Academy". On right side is scroll and written inside is, "MORRIS TURNPIKE AND FARLEY PLACE, MILLBURN, N.J. BOWLING AND ALSO AN OLD ENGLISH TAP ROOM. Along bottom says, "AMPLE PARKING SPACE Peter J. Farley, Prop. Millburn 6-1859.
