Bicentennial: Millburn-Short Hills Bicentennial Cancelled Envelope, 1976

Object/Artifact
Sealed envelope addressed to Mrs. Iris Sissenwein, 7820 Colony Circle South, Tamarc, Florida 22227 Apr. 305 and postmarked Millburn, NJ 07041 January 15, 1976 contained a postal cancellation mark reading Millburn Short Hills U.S. Bicentennial 1776-1976. The envelope has a "Spirit of 76" stamp, which was one of three 13 cent stamps printed in a continuous design based on the Archibald McNeal Willard painting from the Philadelphia Centennial.
