Kaiser's Millburn Pharmacy: Prescription Medicine boxes from Dr. Wellington Campbell

Object/Artifact
Four cardboard prescription medicine boxes from Kaiser's Millburn Pharmacy, for prescriptions written by Dr. Wellington Campbell. Three of the boxes have hinged lids and inside the lid is written: "We have these boxes hinged so that covers of different boxes cannot become interchanged and the wrong directions applied. Every possibility of error is guarded against in our Prescription Department." Those three larger boxes are 1.75" square. The fourth and smallest box is 1.5" square and the lid is not attached to the base. All boxes have a paper label with typed instructions for dosing. The purple box has a label with the date 4/12/26. The boxes were purchased from the estate of Dr. Elwood Macpherson, who may have acquired them from the estate of Dr. Campbell, who died in 1932.
