Lackawanna RR headrest/seatback cover

Object/Artifact
Cream-colored textile that apparently belonged to the Lackawanna RR company originally. There are two button holes on the hem on one end, between which is embroidered the word "Lackawanna." A railroadiana collector said they were originally buttoned on the tops of the seats, to keep them clean when riders rested their heads there. They came from an estate sale in a small house on Essex Street, next to the doctor's office, which is next to the police station -- I think.
