Scope and ContentHouse was at one time owned by August H. D. Evers (c. 1873-1958), owner of the Evers Rehm Company, manufacturers of carbonated beverages in New York. It was liquidated in 1950. August Evers moved to Short Hills in 1919 and is on the 1928 Robinson Map.
