One of the original Hartshorn homes (unnumbered), built for horticulturalist James Pitcher. The house was expanded c. 1890 by Lamb & Rich. Pitcher also built his extensive greenhouses for the Pitcher & Manda Nurseries adjacent to his property. The property was sold to Hartshorn by Julia M. Coggill in 1877. Hartshorn sold the property with the house to Pitcher for $8,000 on January 4, 1880. From Lamb & Rich Records: [Addition and] Alterations for James R.
