Bosworth: Unidentified female photograph by Otto Sarony, c. 1920

Photograph
Photograph of an unidentified woman taken at the Otto Sarony Studio, 707 Broad Street, Newark. The photograph and protective folder are stamped with the studio's name. Otto Sarony was the son of the famed 19th century theatrical photographer Napoleon Sarony, who began directing sessions that appeared under the Sarony signature in the late 1880s. In 1902, Sarony sold the right to use his name to another photographer, who opened up other studios under the Sarony name. The Newark studio opened in 1912, nine years after Otto's death.
