Blood: Alfred Blood

Alfred Hatheway Blood (1855-August 8, 1896). Alfred Blood married Ella Maria Farrington on June 16, 1879. They had 5 children: Albert Farrington Blood (1881-1954), Marianne Blood (1883-1977), Juliet Farrington Blood (1885-1922), George Austin Blood (1888-1941), and Mira Grenelle Blood (1889-1972). Alfred Blood worked for the J.B. Farrington Company Importers and Wholesalers on Front Street in New York City. His wife, Ella Maria Farrington was the daughter of the senior member of the firm. The Farrington's lived at Lefferts Place, Brooklyn. In 1891, the firm was organized as a stock company and Blood rose to the rank of Treasurer. He was also a member of the 23rd Regiment, Brooklyn.
