Irvington-Millburn Road Race: First Day Covers, 1933

Two First Day Covers from the Irvington-Millburn 25-Mile Road Race on Decoration Day (Memorial Day), May 30, 1933. Contains cachet with the slogan "Reviving a Famous Road Classic" Both are postmarked Irvington, N.J. May 30 at 5:30 pm. One is addressed to Ethel May Yoder, 542 Canal Street, Lebanon, PA. The other is addressed to Mrs. George McKeera, Glenville, Connecticut. The famed road race was revived in 1933, after a 25-year lapse.
