Johnson: Walter Johnson & Clyde Milan Photograph, 1911

Walter Johnson played major league baseball from 1907-1927 as pitcher for the Washington Senators, appeared in the 1924 & 1925 World Series, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. In 1928, he began his career as a manager in the minor leagues taking up residence at 32 Maple Terrace, Millburn, NJ and managing the Newark team of the International League. In 1936, he retired to Germantown, Maryland.
