He was baptized at St. Rose on July 6, 1873. His father, Patrick, was 39 and his mother, Mary, was 37. He married Margaret Ann Kehoe in 1893 in New Jersey. They had nine children in 17 years. He died on September 30, 1925, in Millburn, New Jersey, at the age of 52. At one point, the O'Mara's lived at 400 Millburn Avenue.In 1914, he was listed as an employee at Wittkop's Livery Stables and lived onh Hobart Avenue near the Short Hills Train Station. Joseph Patrick's parents were Patrick O'Mara and Mary Mahoney. He died on October 19, 1880, in Millburn, New Jersey, at the age of 46.
