Millburn Women's Political Union: Minutes of the Millburn Branch of the Women's Political Union of N.J., 1904-1914

Notebook containing handwritten minutes for the Millburn Branch of the Women's Political Union of New Jersey, 1904-1914. Contains the following description of the group formation: "A number of the residents of the Township of Millburn on Thursday evening April 23, 1904 met in the Parish House to listen to a talk on Equal Suffrage by Miss Crowell of Newark, New Jersey after which they formed an organization to be known as the Millburn Branch of the Women's Political Union of N.J by electing as President Mrs. J.H. Schmidt (which office was later declined), as Vice President, Mrs. Marion F. Strickler, Secretary Ada Louise Dow and Treasurer Mrs. William M. Johnston. Miss Dow, acting as temporary chairman and Miss Agnes Campbell temporary Secretary. The meeting then adjourned."
