Bosworth: Unidentified Elderly Woman with Glasses

Photograph of unidentified elderly woman wearing glasses from the Sol Young Studio. The picture comes from the Bosworth collection of unidentified photographs. The woman may be William P. Mangold's mother, Caroline Mangold (1857-1919) Photograph is double mounted, with protective tissue and in a folder embossed with Young's logo. Sol (omon) Young (1865-1921) operated several successful photography studios in the early 20th century. He opened his first studio in 1893 with his wife in 1893, near Union Square in New York City. By 1915, he operated at least 7 studios in New York and one in Connecticut.
