Dress: Green and Purple Woman's Dress with White Embroidery

Clothing/Dress/Costume
From the Victorian Era, this dress may date to the early 1880s. The slim form-fitting style was common at this time. From 1875 to 1883, “The great aim is to make the figure as flat and sheath-like as possible and upon the block to wind as close as may be all kinds of draperies” (Ladies’ Treasury, 1875).
