Green-linen-covered book by local author Gustave Kobbe has bumped corners, edgewear on all edges, wear at the top and bottom of the spine (bottom has a bit of detached linen), soiling on front, back, and spine, and a ca. 2" x 2" scuffed area on the lower part of the back cover. The pages are yellowed and brittle, with light foxing. The last three pages have much wear and small tears on all outside edges. Author Kobbe lived in the Anchorage, at the corner of Knollwood and Wells Lane and authored popular books on travel and on the opera. Included in this book is a chapter on actress Annie Russell, who lived at 24 Hillside Avenue in Short Hills, for a few years. Purchased on ABEBooks.com
