Old Mill Pond, Millburn, 1906

Postally used, B&W photographic postcard of the Old Mill Pond. Message dated December 31, 1906. Postmarked December 31, 1906, 4:00 pm and addressed to Miss Tillie Winner, 127 Livingston Street, Newark, Nwe Jersey. Message on front reads: Dear Tillie. Thank you very much for that pretty calendar. Saw Emma out in the rain today, wish you a very Happy New Year." This pond was downstream from the Diamond Mill, which is visible in the rear. It was located where the Middle School athletic fields are today on either side of the river. The walls of this pond were visible from the pathway from Old Short Hills Road to Lackawanna Place. Corresponds to Image #148 in the Centennial Collection.
