Hartshorn: Stewart Hartshorn with a Shovel at Groundbreaking, July 1935

In 1935, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Simler purchased a lot at 10 Gap View Road. In July, a formal groundbreaking ceremony was held. 95 year-old Mr. Hartshorn requested and received permission to supervise the construction.
