Description8/2/1890 issue of Harper's Weekly Journal of Civilization with two sketches on page 601 of interior views on Short Hills homes. The sketches are incorporated into a page of six different images. Both Short Hills' homes included in the drawings were designed by Lamb and Rich. The lower left sketch is of the Mr. Pitcher's drawing room on Montview featuring the fireplace and design in plaster over the mantel-piece. The image of Russell's Redstone mansion is on the lower right and is of the hallway showing the fireplace and stairs. There is also a paragraph in the magazine describing these homes as featured in the drawings on page 595. All pages are yellowed but appear to be clean. Edges are bumped. Small creases and tears are present along spine with the appearance of having been bound in the past. Pages 593-600 are unattached from the rest of the periodical.
