Auchincloss: Mrs. William Stuart Auchincloss, 1932

Press photograph of Mrs. William Stuart Auchincloss (Jean Schnell Auchincloss) from 1932. The caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Riding the West Virginia Bridle Trails. Mrs. William Stuart Auchincloss., of Short Hills, NJ, one of the ardent riders on the Mountain Trails at the Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. September 26, 1932." Jean Auchincloss was the first president of the Millburn Free Public Library, established in 1937. She took over as President of the Board of Trustees of Schnell Publishing Company, New York City, following the death of William Auchincloss in July, 1973.
