Bosworth: Unidentified Railroad Conductor, c. 1880s

Photograph
Photograph of an unidentified man wearing, what appears to be, a railroad conductor's uniform taken at Pach photograph studios, 111 Broadway, NY. The photograph has the studio name embossed on the matte and came in a protective folder labeled Pach in the upper left. The Pach Brothers photographic firm was in business in New York City from the 1860s-1990s. They had a vast enterprise, with multiple studios in New York and New Jersey and patrons ranging from U.S. Presidents, to society notables, university students to ordinary Americans involved in various trades.
