Bank: First National Bank of Millburn

Postcard
Postally unusual B&W postcard from the First National bank of Millburn, 340 Millburn Avenue, with photographs of the bank building in 1907 and 1909 on the front. The bank was first chartered in Millburn in 1907 and occupied as small store on Main Street, near Millburn Avenue. It moved into its own building at the corner of Millburn Avenue and Main Street (seen in the larger photograph) in 1909. The bank built a modern building in 1954 at Millburn Avenue and Douglas Street (397 Millburn Avenue) and moved there in March 1954. In 1956, the First National Bank of Millburn merged with the National State Bank of Newark.
