The Yogg company was founded in Newark in 1923 and serviced restaurants, hotels and country clubs in the United States and Europe. Howell Yogg was renowned as an innovator in the food service industry, by combining menus and sales aids in its packages, and established retail marketing techniques in the industry. In the late 1960s, he also commissioned a group of nationally known artists and illustrators to create menus and merchandise.
