46 Linden Street

Photograph of 46 Linden Street in the Wyoming section of Millburn from the 1978 David Gibson Historic Sites Survey.The house was constructed in 1910. George W. Reeve was the builder. It was a prefabricated (precut) house, referred to as a "Bennett Built House." Owners of the property were: Peter Larson & George Reeve (1912), Michale Whalen (1933), Bridget Grogel (1936), Margaret Kelly (1936), Percy B. Levitt (1937). The Ray H. Bennett Lumber Company was a large lumber company based out of North Tonawanda, NY, which offered kit homes for sale via catalog in the early 20th century. 124 Myrtle Avenue was also a Bennett Built House from 1925.
