Partington: John T. Partington Citizenship Papers, 1895

Citizenship certificate for John T. Partington (1871-1954) from the Essex County Court dated October 7, 1895. John T. Partington owned the property at 379 Millburn Avenue. From his obituary (January 14, 1954): Born in England John Thomas moved to Millburn in 1876 where his father was superintendent of the Diamond-Paper Mill. He was a member of the Mill- burn Volunteer Fire Department from 1898 until his retirement in January 1927. He was employed by the Township of Millburn as maintenance repair man from 1927 until his retirement In 1951. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Reilly Partington; two sons, Deputy Chief John J. Partington and T. Raymond Partington, both of the Millburn Fire Department; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Buchholz of Millburn, and Mrs. Margaret Schilling of Springfield.
