228 Sagamore Road, "Eastover," Joy Wheeler Dow, c. 1896

Photograph
Joy Wheeler Dow's Neo-Georgian house from c. 1896 was inspired by the x. 1730 Virginia plantation house "Westover." The house was built for Dow's father-in-law and built "Princessgate" next door for himself and wife.
