Description"An American Park," American Architect & Building News article, July 12, 1884 describing the architecture and landscape of Short Hills. The article describes traveling by train from New York City to Short Hills, New Jersey and contains illustrations of Stanford White's Music Hall (Casino/Racquet's Club), the Redstone, the Anchorage and Sunset Cottage. There are also 2 pages of B&W photographs entitled "Views of Short Hills." Other buildings described in the text include: The Short Hills Train Station, Greystone Cottage, and Knollwood. The images were done by Charles A. Rich and many appeared the in the "New Series" of The Arrow from 1881.
