Hartshorn: Windmill Along the Lackawanna, 1908

Postcard
Postally used B&W photographic postcard, "Along the Lackawanna" depicting the windmill constructed for Stewart Hartshorn to pump water for Short Hills. The windmill was located between Great Oak Drive and the railroad at Pine Terrace East. Postmarked Springfield, October 6, 1908 and addressed to Mr. John V. Abbott, Fairview Street, Waterbury , Connecticut. Message on front reads: "Am getting to be a fixture down here. Sang in a long-service at the Methodist Church Sun., etc. Don't know when I will come home. Before long, I guess. C.R.C."
