Flanagan:Democratic Club Formation, Mendelssohn Club, Golden Star Fraternity, 1899

Newspaper clipping from the December 13, 1899 edition of the Newark Evening News in the collection of ephemera detached from the Flanagan scrapbook. Topics covered include: Concert of the Mendelssohn Club of Millburn at St. Stephens, election of the following officers of the Knights and Ladies of the Golden Star Fraternity--J.J. McChesney, Jessie Pratt, Mrs. John Sheville, Dora Bryan, Clarence Lushear, F.S. Pratt, John W. Sheville, Freeholders designated Porsonage Avenue as a country road, Captain Arthur Snow missing, lecture on Hawaii at the Short Hills Casino, formal organization of the Democratic Club of Millburn at the Post Office Building. Officers were Richard Hopkins, A.C. Arnold, John Ward, George W. Reeve, R. S. Oliver, A.H. Farrington.
