Dunican: Springfield Academy Tuition Receipt, 1874

Tuition for Frank Dunican from September 1-November 14, 1874 at Springfield Academy. Tuition rate for 11 weeks for non-residents was $1.25. Principal was Arthur D. Bailey. Miss S. Stiles, Assistant. Frank Dunican (1861-1930) was the son of John Smith Dunican (December 29, 1833-May 15, 1913 and Fannie Matilde Smith (Springfield, June 1835-1905). John Dunican was in the hat trade. Frank Dunican's uncle was William Samuel Dunican (Dunnican), who served in the 79th NY Infantry during the Civil War and is buried in St. Stephens Cemetery.
