Radio: Douglas A. Smith W2BZR Ham Radio Operator Postcard

Postcard
Ham radio operator postcard purchased on eBay. Card was from "Doug Smith" to Mr. Anton H. Zahm (812 Ostrom Ave in Syracuse NY). Smith's ham radio number (license?) was W2BZR. In the 1930 census Douglas A. Smith was 22 years old and lived on Grosvenor Road in Short Hills, with his parents Charles A. and Marjorie K. Smith. Census records indicate that he was born in East Orange in 1907 and was living there in 1910. A 1947 passenger list records him at 174 Summit Avenue in Summit. Military records indicate that he was a lieutenant in the USNR and was apparently a radio operator for them. The card has a penciled message on the sketch side, that says: "Tnx for the crd(?) and report. Lots of DX."
