The return address (upper left) is printed in dark blue ink and is: "J.F. Anderson,; Wholesale Florist; Telephone Connections. Ferns a Specialty; Short Hills - New Jersey" The penciled, handwritten address appears to say: "Mr. Chas Pelomm & Sons Florist; 1167 Barnum Ave; Bridgeport Conn" A florist's by the name of Charles W. Pflomm (&) Son appears in a 1913 Bridgeport CT directory, at 1167 Barnum Avenue. The cancellation date cannot be read, so the circa 1913 date for the envelope is estimated from that. There are no contents in the envelope, which was opened along the right edge. All edges of the envelope are slightly yellowed; minor ripples along adhesive along seams; otherwise unblemished.
