Millburn Diner, 1970s

Postcard
Postally unused chrome color postcard real-photo picture of interior and exterior of the Millburn Diner at 72 Essex St at Lackawanna Place. Interior view shows Christmas decorations. Date guesstimate because the phone book has no entry for Millburn Diner as late as the 71-72 book. The next book the society has is 1974-75 and the diner is in there. Back of card says: "Owned & operated by Gus Thermenos family." and notes that it serves "fine Continental & American cuisine and Athenian specialties" and that it is "famous for (their) CHEESE CAKE." Front of card somewhat dulled; bottom two corners slightly bent; very light edge wear on the scalloped edges.
