2 Ridge Terrace, Short Hills

Photograph of 2 Ridge Terrace, built in 1910 by the Satterwaite family (descendants of Benjamin Franklin). Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Satterwaite. Architect was Rossiter and Wright (110 East 23rd Street), known as House "B." Rossiter and Wright, a firm that completed a number of public buildings in the Northeastern United States around the same time. The firm's partners were Erick K. Rossiter and Frank Ayres Wright, who had joined forces in 1881. The firm designed the South Orange Town Hall in 1894.
