The property was converted from residential to a business property in c. 1972 and housed the following businesses: The Gifted Hand, The Prairie Rose Gift Shop, The Fluted Urn and The Garden Path. In 1930, it was the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Shoemaker, who moved to Millburn in 1919. It remained in the Shoemaker family until the death of Cora Shoemaker in June 1971, after which time it was purchased by the Taylor Family. The Garden Path moved in 2013.
